Guides-Karioke

Serendipity guides JoseR, Sergio and Juanca belt out Ranchero at a country bar. Before the evening finished we had all our Serendipity guests singing along, in Spanish, love songs to your horse.

It's Our Guides

Trained by Serendipity for all the unusual stuff - find a way around a big traffic mess, take along enough bottled water and snacks so our guests don't hear their stomachs growl, carry the First Aid Kit everywhere, know how to fix a flat (on the car or bike), stop the car when you see something interesting. And the usual stuff: where are good places to eat, keeping First Aid skills up to date, know what everyone wants in the ice chest.

What our guests remember most about their trips is their Serendipity guide. Well educated and experienced travelers and adventure junkies, they are ardent naturalists and environmentalists. Serendipity guides love to play -- and pull you along in trying new things, from rappelling waterfalls to singing karaoke. .

We crossed two rivers to get here, and the journey was half the fun.

It's Our 4x4 Vehicles

Serendipity takes a tame and comfortable SUV 4x4 and turns it into a well-equipped off-road vehicle. The ice chest with your favorite drinks and snacks and the extra duffel bag carries not only dry towels, bug spray, toilet paper, energy bars and snacks, there's a machete and tools, towing straps and flashlights. Your vehicle is outfitted for rescuing (and occasionally, being rescued, for getting places other cars simply can't do. Your Serendipity guide can handle this 4x4 off-road, and on-road it is comfortable, all the windows open to fresh air (or leave them closed with air conditioning), and everyone has a view.

It's Our Flexibility and Your Privacy

You already know that Serendipity designs to your priorities for adventure, nature, relaxation, accommodations, food. We're happy to integrate lodging, places and tours you specifically want -- golf, deep sea fishing, Four Seasons hotel, scuba diving, for examples. Want time at the beach without a guide? No problem!

And when you want something exceptional, we will rise to the challenge. Physical limitations? We have taken guests in wheelchairs to the top of the jungle platform. We've ridden with a completely blind woman at full gallop. Want to milk a poisonous snake? We can get you to the right place and instructor for that.

Phantasma, our earliest 4x4 exploration vehicle, crosses a river that had no way across except by horse, swimming, or Phantasma, our Land Rover.

It's Our Stability, and Depth of Experience

We just want to thank Serendipity for lending us our wonderful guide Andres, who showed us a trip to remember! We thoroughly enjoyed the beauty of your country, and have told everyone who will listen what a great company Serendipity is. When we were asked to fill out a form on what we enjoyed most and least, we had trouble as we loved everything we did, and were so thankful every time we saw one of the big tour buses that we weren't on one. We loved the individual one-on-one attention, the hotels were all great, and the food delicious. I did some things that nobody back home would believe without the pictures to prove it, like Abraham and the canopy tour! We will definitely be back.
