Ballooning - Intimate, Private Flights with Your Hand-Picked Companions

Sunrise!

It's a team effort to inflate the balloon. Two of you hold open the mouth, someone else on the crown line. Then the burners roar to life, and the hapless limp fabric stretches into -- your Personal Dragon, ready to lift you skyward, to explore the world as only birds can see it.

You decide who will fly today. Your flight is entirely private.

Serendipity Ballooning - a Very Personal Experience

Serendipity's small balloons (maximum 4 passengers in one, 6 in the larger) allow us to treat you, our guests, as part of our balloon team. We decide together, pilot and you, what we might do today. Fly high? Maybe, if clouds allow. Fly low? Of course. Touch tree tops? If conditions allow, we'll try to get close.

Only here, in Costa Rica, can we fly so close above rain forest, then fly high to watch a volcano puffing or reach above the clouds for a completely different world.

Serendipity's small balloons bring intimacy to the flight. Ask questions of the pilot, Want to spend a few minutes operating the burner? Why not! It may be exciting for you, but it is equally fun for your Serendipity pilot.

Serendipity: More than 25 Years as Costa Rica's Balloon Experts

Serendipity has been flying balloons in Costa Rica since 1991, and explored the whole country from our wicker platform.

Serendipity is the only balloon operator in Central and South America. We comply with FAA standards for pilot licensing, maintenance, and operations. Our balloons receive the same rigorous inspection as in the United States.

When you reserve with Serendipity we ask many questions about who will be participating, and adjust equipment and crew as needed. For safety we must restrict or decline to carry some young children, and persons who cannot comfortably climb over the wall of the basket. The pilot's decision is final on who may fly.

Once the fabric is squeezed and in the bag, it's too floppy to lift -- like soft Jello. So, first the pilot (red shirt) then all lightweights pile on top -- to squeeze the final breath from our dragon.

You'll forever remember the day you flew so high and the birds joined you in flight-song.

What we won't do is compromise on elements that create an unacceptable risk.

While we're at it, let's talk about Risk. It's one of the most important aspects of any adventure. We're proud of our record, and our commitment to setting the standard in Costa Rica for minimizing risk.

It's time to call us.

Quote:

We had being talking about taking our niece and nephew on a trip to Costa Rica for several years. Your web-site was one of the first ones we saw, and once we read the activities it offered, we knew it was the right one for us. We were all very excited about the trip beforehand and it more than lived up to our expectations.
